This sriracha mayo sauce is tangy in all the right ways and is the perfect sauce to dunk barbecued veggies or meat into. You can thin it out and drizzle it on top of your rice bowls or use it in your sushi. 

This sauce is so versatile. We make it at least once per week and I hope you love it too!

What are the ingredients?

To make a very basic sriracha mayo, you only need 2 ingredients. 

Mayo- you can use store bought for this but it also tastes AMAZING with homemade mayo. Check out how to make homemade mayo by clicking here.

Sriracha sauce

If you want to elevate this sauce, there are a few extra add ins. 

Salt and pepper- just a pinch to bring out the flavour

Garlic powder- to add a pop of garlicky flavour

Lemon or lime juice- to add an extra tang

A dash of maple syrup- optional if you like a hint of sweet

How do you make this sriracha mayo?

Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl or container, taste and adjust the seasoning as you see fit.

Cover and then place it in the refrigerator until you are ready to use. It will store for roughly 4 days airtight.

How do you use this mayo sauce?

You can use this sriracha sauce on so many dishes! A few of the ones I enjoy are…

  • On top of sushi or a sushi bowl as a drizzle
  • On top of a rice bowl as a drizzle. A southwest bowl would be great with this mayo dip!
  • As a dip for cut up vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup mayo (can be homemade or store bought)

  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha sauce (use 1 tbsp if you don't love heat)

  • Optional ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 1/2-1 tsp garlic or onion powder (both taste great! I use a combo of both)

  • a dash of maple syrup ( 1/4-1/2 tsp depending how sweet you like it)

Directions

  • Combine all of the ingredients into a small bowl and stir to combine.
  • Use a spatula to scoop the sauce into your airtight container.
  • Store in the fridge until you are ready to use!

Notes

  • This is enough sauce to perfectly fill a 125 ml mason jar.
  • You can store this sauce up to 4 days in the fridge.
  • I have good success making this recipe with other types of hot sauce as well so feel free to play around with it!
